This listing is for one Hewlett-Packard HP 8561E Spectrum Analyzer chassis.
The HP 8561E was originally designed as a portable laboratory spectrum analyzer with a nominal continuous frequency range of 30 Hz to 6.5 GHz. This specification describes the model only; the operating frequency range of this particular unit has not been verified.
OBSERVED CONDITION:
• The unit powers on
• The CRT display illuminates and is readable
• The screen shows “ERR 935”
• The screen shows “SMP UNLK”
• A service label states “CRT OK”
• A Finnish service label states “YIG JA VAIMENNIN PUUTTUU,” meaning “YIG and attenuator are missing”
• Visible identification number: 3517A01170
• Equipment/inventory label: Laite 2821
IMPORTANT:
The unit should be considered incomplete and non-operational because the service label indicates that the YIG assembly and attenuator are missing.
No RF signal tests were performed. Frequency coverage, input sensitivity, amplitude accuracy, resolution bandwidth, sweep operation, HP-IB communication and other functions were not tested. The visible screen trace confirms only that the CRT produces an image.
The unit has an old HP N.I.S.T. traceability calibration sticker dated 23 October 1995. It is not a current calibration certificate and no calibration documentation is included.
COSMETIC CONDITION:
The enclosure, handles and panels have scratches, marks, labels and normal age-related laboratory wear. Please use the photographs as the primary description of the cosmetic condition.
INCLUDED:
• 1 × HP 8561E Spectrum Analyzer chassis only
No power cord, RF cables, probes, manuals, option modules or other accessories are included.
